UK/US WAR

i think i'll rant for a few minutes.
the uk.
okay.
lovely place, i want to go there.
but.
they are a world power.
the only thing i believe preventing the us or any other major power from just wiping them clean off of the map...
alliances.
if we didn't still have good ties with them because of that big misunderstanding about who was in charge way back when...
we would just throw texas at them.
just fucking lob the entire state at them.
smash. boom.
they're gone.
i mean they'd put up a fight, not for too long if we just attacked them all out.
i'm talking blitzkrieg style warfare.
coordinated strike utilizing ground, air, and sea forces.
just o-fucking-bliterated.
that would be an interesting conflict.
the wings and wings of fighters are the first to fall.
as the long-range sensors would have detected the US navy's ships.
the british navy is deployed shortly after.
but their fighters are deployed immediately.
massive dogfights erupt all over the channel.
meanwhile, british airfields and bases of interest are being attacked by long-range strikes.
the british navy intercepts the US fleets.
the fleets are massive.
the draw closer to each other.
now in range, a missile fight frenzy between the two navies.
ships sinking everywhere.
the smaller ships protecting the bombardment ships.
the fucking coast is getting peppered with long range artillery and missile warheads.
fucking dinghies picking through the bodies.
it's chaos in the streets.
it's fucking raining airborne divisions from the sky.
british AA missiles and make-shift cannon batteries lighting them up like fireflies.
planes being blown to shit.
debris pouring from the sky.
british police, "what's all this then?"
the guy from monty python.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grbSQ6O6kbs
armored units being deployed in shoeburyness.
first the airborne has to knock out the shore defenses.
fucking urban area being abandoned shortly after the airborne's costly landing.
using short-range AT weapons to destroy the first response to shoeburyness.
airborne have done their job.
the armor comes ashore...
just a brief look at that conflict.
the whole thing would probably end in a nuke fight.
